The football team of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi (TUIASI) won the second place in the finals of the Football Academic Championship, organized by the “Student Sport” Association, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Romanian Football Federation and the School and Academic Sport Federation.
64 teams from 64 Romanian universities participated to this competition. Four local phases were held, and eight teams from six academic centres were qualified in the finals: Sibiu, Timi艧oara, T芒rgu-Mure艧, Bucure艧ti, Oradea, Ia艧i.
The four days finals were held in Sibiu, during the 21st and the 24th of May, 2013.
The “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi entered the final, to lose a very hard fought game to the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu.
