Incoming international and Erasmus+ students were greeted to Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Ia葯i (TUIASI) Friday, 25 September 2020, during the Orientation Day event, hosted by the International Relations Office team.
International Relations staff, led by Professor Irina Lungu, informed the incoming students on how to better prepare themselves for their new life in Ia葯i. They learned about the university and its faculties, Tudor Vladimirescu Student Campus, Ia葯i public transit and student facilities, the academic calendar and pandemic Survivor Kit, the Erasmus Student Network organisation and there was also a Q&A session.
Buddy Students were also involved, a team of TUIASI students helping international and Erasmus+ students starting their TUIASI journey.
‘We greeted them online and it was a pleasure seeing all the international students interested in TUIASI and our city, the facilities they can enjoy and the interaction with our university’s Buddy students. We’ve seen that this kind of meeting before arrival is really useful so they can better prepare themselves for the upcoming journey. Alongside Erasmus Student Network and International Relations staff, TUIASI Buddy students had their own presentations regarding the academic life here and also Tudor Vladimirescu Campus. We’ll continue having meetings on collaborative, multicultural and sci-tech student spirit topics with our international students, who are now Ia葯i residents,’
