罢丑别听鈥淕heorghe Asachi鈥 Technical University of Iasi, represented by the聽Faculty of Textiles, Leather and Industrial Management, participated as partner to the competition launched in 2014 by the Erasmus+ European Union funded program with the聽鈥淭ECLO – Textile and Clothing Knowledge Alliance.
Future textile and clothing managers for export, marketing, innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship oriented companies鈥澛爌roject. Thus, the university received the 2 year grant required for the project development period.
The project consortium also includes 13 more partners: Link Campus University 鈥 coordinator, CIAPE – Centro Italiano per l’Apprendimento Permanente (Italy), Universiteit Gent (Belgium), Material Connexion (Italy), Associaci贸 Agrupaci贸 d鈥橢mpreses Innovadores T猫xtils, Universitat Polit猫cnica de Catalunya (Spain), Technological Education Institute of Piraeus, A Fotopoulou GLP, Creative Thinking Development (Greece), ASITEX (Romania), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Fundacja Rozwoju Przedsiebiorczosci (Poland), Maison de la Promotion Sociale (France).
The main objective of the TECLO project is to update the higher education European systems in the field of textiles and garment. There are several approaches envisioned in order to achieve it, namely: to properly anticipate the skills and competencies required by the industry, as well as to establishe sustainable partnerships between the higher education institutions and the employers.

The partnership will ultimately lead to better adjustment of the textile and garment field in times of crisis by better anticipating the needed competencies and skills, and by training a new generation of managers able to develop stronger synergies of innovation, skills, and workplace requirements.
The first working sessions of the project took place in Rome, at the 鈥淟ink Campus University鈥 during the 8th to 19thof December 2014.
